After completing the paperwork, you will have a consultation with the doctor to discuss your health-related problems and concerns, as well as potential treatment options.

History & Examination

In order to determine what your actual problem is, the doctor will ask you various questions related to your condition. Next, the doctor will perform a thorough examination related to your particular problem to determine which structures of the body are affected and to what extent.

X-ray Studies

If your specific condition requires x-rays to either rule out more serious conditions or assist us in developing the most effective treatment plan for you, our office has x-ray on premise.. If prior X-rays (or any other diagnostic tests or reports) are available, you may bring them into the office for review by Dr. Zara on your initial visit.

Same Day Treatment

Once finished with the examination and all appropriate studies, Dr. Zara will review all pertinent information and develop an individualized treatment plan. He will go over the exam findings and X-ray or MRI findings (if available) with you. You will have an opportunity to have all your questions answered and are encouraged to voice any concerns you may have. Once you accept the treatment plan you will generally be provided with your first treatment. This may include spinal adjustments, chiropractic physiotherapy procedures, and/or soft tissue techniques. In order to achieve the best outcome, it is important that you follow your prescribed treatment plan.

Home Instructions

You will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice or heat application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches.

Before you leave the office you will be given the opportunity to schedule your next appointments. We encourage you to make multiple appointments to ensure availability of your specific time. Be sure to follow your treatment plan. Please call to schedule an appointment at: (516) 352-2773.
